OUR MISSION
The mission of the Making Waves program is to play a key role in the reduction of child drowning incidents in Mesa through water safety education and teaching disadvantaged children how to swim.

The "Making Waves"
scholarship program provides FREE learn-to-swim lessons and FREE competitive team membership to Mesa residents in need, all made possible by donations from the community.

WHAT YOUR FINANCIAL GENEROSITY PROVIDES:
"Making Waves" scholarships pay the $20 registration fee for swimming lessons, and the $60 registration fee for competitive team membership. Swimming lessons are taught in eight one-half hour lessons during a two-week summer. Competitive teams practice for one hour, four days a week during the eight weeks of June and July.

WHAT WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED

Summer 2008

Teaching at least 700 swimming lessons each summer for the past four years, the Making Waves program has made a positive impact in the community. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the summer of 2008 was a great success.
